Annika Finne

Annika Finne began working at MAC in 2017. She holds an M.A. in Art History and an M.S. in the Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works from the Institute of Fine Arts (IFA), New York University, and a B.A. with an independent concentration in "Material Art History" from Brown University. Before coming to MAC she worked in the paintings conservation department of the Yale University Art Gallery; she also received conservation training in the Museo Nacional del Prado, the Kunsthistorisches Museum, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Seattle Art Museum. She has contributed to publications on new techniques for cleaning paintings and on the technical examination of works of art. She is completing a PhD in Art History at the IFA with a focus on the pre-history of modern and contemporary painting conservation and has taught courses on the history of painting techniques at the Cooper Union School for the Advancement of Art and Science.
