Pamela Johnson

Associate Conservator

Pamela joined MAC in 2017. She received an MS in Art Conservation from the Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation in 2016, and a BA in studio art and Spanish from Calvin College in 2007. Prior to attending graduate school, Pamela spent five and a half years working in the exhibitions and conservation departments at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, DC. Pamela also interned at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Artex Fine Art Services, and MAC, and held contract positions with Glenstone and the Dallas Museum of Art. Pam is adept at treating both traditional easel paintings and modern complex works, bringing excellent inpainting skills as well as cleaning science knowledge to her projects.
