Scott Ferguson
Conservation Technician & Researcher
Scott joined MAC in 2015 after working for the Andy Warhol Estate and the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts for 23 years. He received his BFA in Art with a minor in technical theater production from the University of Texas at Austin and an MFA in Art from the Maryland Institute College of Art where he studied with the artist Grace Hartigan. At the Warhol Foundation, he was the Collections Manager, overseeing the collections of paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, sculptures, and archival materials. His duties included condition reporting, overseeing the stretching of paintings, packing, crating, shipping of artworks, and assisting in curating Warhol exhibitions with museums and galleries worldwide. At MAC, Scott provides technical support to the conservators throughout the treatment process, assists in registrarial matters, carries out conservation photography and research, and maintains the studio’s extensive archive of Warhol materials.
